I am part of a core team who is pioneering a YWAM location in Northwest Italy. We are calling this location YWAM Homestead and will serve the communities in and around Alessandria, Italy and globally. Our vision is to see communities transformed by the gospel and love of Jesus through being informed, equipped, and sent. We do this by offering a range of support, including guidance, resources, trainings, and opportunities, in order to help people find purpose in life and make an impact around them. Currently, we are working to create a legal association in Italy (which requires 16,000 euros) so that we may purchase property and pioneer a homestead (a dwelling, that serves as both a residence and a center for self-sufficiency). Over the past 5 years, I have been working to training individuals through YWAM's School of Sustainable Development in Costa Rica, Kenya, Malawi, and Zambia. This training brings the spiritual and physical Gospel together to meet individual's physical needs (food, water, shelter, healthcare) as well as Christian discipleship.
The long term vision is to see the School of Sustainable Development multiplied globally within YWAM for the purpose of making the school more accessible to those desiring the content and teachings in order to bring effective holistic transformation to rural communities.
