…And that’s when it had happened…. My stomach tightened as I recalled the events of that afternoon. My mind replayed the accident over and over. I could see our camper smashed to bits, with clothes and diapers strewn everywhere, Susie and Angela sloshing through rain and mud to retrieve anything they could from the wreckage. That’s when Bill had come, and like an angel from God, he had taken our shocked and muddy crew to his home, where his wife Lupe fed us and offered us a place to sleep.
